San Francisco City Hall dome taller than the U.S. Capitol

San Francisco City Hall at 1 Dr Carlton B Goodlett Pl was completed in 1915 as a Beaux-Arts civic building rebuilt after the 1906 earthquake. Its dome rises approximately 307.5 feet above street level, a height that is greater than the dome of the United States Capitol. The building continues to serve as the seat of San Francisco's municipal government and is an architectural landmark.
