Ozark Iron Furnace Stack

The Ozark Iron Furnace Stack, also known as the Ozark Iron Works, is a historic site located near Newburg, Missouri. Built in 1873, this impressive pyramidal furnace stands about 40 feet tall and is made from durable sandstone blocks. It operated until 1884 and is recognized for its historical significance, being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. While it is situated on private property and may not be easily visible from public areas, it represents an important piece of industrial heritage in the region.
