Wilaya Building

The Wilaya Building, located in the heart of Casablanca, Morocco, is a stunning example of architectural fusion, blending traditional Moroccan Makhzen styles with French Art Deco influences. Designed by Marius Boyer and constructed between 1928 and 1937 during the French Protectorate, this emblematic structure features austere stone columns, intricate zellige tile work, and lush internal courtyards. Visitors can admire its grand staircase and a striking clock tower reminiscent of Venice's Doge's Palace. The building serves as the administrative center for Grand Casablanca and is easily accessible via the Casablanca Tramway from Muhammad V Square.
