Rathscafé (Bremen)

The Rathscafé, now known as Deutsches Haus, is a historic building located in the vibrant Marktplatz of Bremen, Germany. Originally a municipal wine-house in the Middle Ages, it has undergone several transformations, including a significant reconstruction between 1909 and 1911 by architect Rudolf Jacobs. This four-storey building showcases Heimatschutzarchitektur and Reformarchitektur styles, adorned with historical decorations and artifacts. After being damaged in World War II, it was rebuilt and modernized, now housing a restaurant and offices.
