Clock Tower Bijnor

The Bijnor Clock Tower, also known as Ghanta Ghar, is a historical landmark in Uttar Pradesh, India, built in 1926 by Aminuddin Contractor. Standing at 17.30 meters tall, it features a staircase with a diameter of 1.20 meters, although access to the upper levels has been restricted. Originally, the tower lacked clocks due to financial constraints faced by the Municipal Council, which delayed their installation for nearly six decades. It wasn't until 1985 that clocks were finally added, following persistent public demand. This iconic structure reflects the colonial history and architectural heritage of the region, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
