Bartram's Garden - John Bartram's botanic garden

Bartram's Garden was established by botanist John Bartram in 1728 and includes the John Bartram House and one of the oldest surviving botanic gardens in North America. John Bartram collected and exchanged plants with European botanists and maintained the site as a center for horticultural study in the 18th century. The property is preserved as a National Historic Landmark and interprets Bartram's life and contributions to American botany.
