Blue Mustang ('Blucifer') at Denver International Airport

The 32-foot fiberglass sculpture 'Blue Mustang' by Luis Jiménez stands on the airport campus outside the Jeppesen Terminal and is notable for its illuminated red eyes. Jiménez was fatally injured by a falling section of the sculpture in 2006 during its creation, and the completed work was installed at Denver International Airport in 2008. The statue's internal red lighting has been widely noted in local reporting and contributed to popular lore about its glowing eyes.
