Chipping Norton Recording Studios

Chipping Norton Recording Studios, located in the historic town of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, was a prominent residential recording studio that operated from 1971 until 1999. Established by Mike Vernon and Richard Vernon, the studio was housed in a Grade II listed building and expanded to include 15 bedrooms for visiting artists. It became a hub for famous musicians, producing iconic tracks such as 'Baker Street' by Gerry Rafferty and 'Creep' by Radiohead. The studio's legacy was recognized with a blue plaque from BBC Music Day in 2017, celebrating its significant contribution to England's musical heritage.
