Clinger-Moses Mill Complex

The Clinger-Moses Mill Complex, also known as Clement's Mill, is a historic site in West Pikeland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. This picturesque complex features two mills, a stone dam, a mill house, and a stone bank barn, showcasing the region's rich industrial heritage. The former grist mill, built in 1860, has been transformed into residential space, while the four-story fieldstone mill building and a five-bay frame house built on the foundations of a saw mill add to the site's historical charm. The main house, constructed in 1801, is a striking example of early American architecture. Recognized for its historical significance, the complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers alike.
