Pekin Federal Building

The Pekin Federal Building, also known as the Old Post Office, is a historic site in Pekin, Illinois, built in 1906. Designed by Supervising Architect James Knox Taylor in the Renaissance Revival style, it features a striking red brick exterior with limestone accents. Originally housing U.S. government offices and the city's main post office, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. After serving various functions, including county board meetings, it remains a significant landmark, although it has faced structural challenges in recent years.
