Tobin Center for the Performing Arts (Municipal Auditorium redevelopment)

The Tobin Center, at the site of the 1926 San Antonio Municipal Auditorium, opened after a major renovation and expansion in 2014. The project retained and integrated elements of the historic auditorium while adding a contemporary glass-and-steel performance cube and modernized performance facilities. The complex illustrates preservation combined with contemporary architectural insertion for a large civic performing-arts venue.
