Motown Museum (Hitsville U.S.A.)

The Motown Museum occupies the original Hitsville U.S.A. building where Berry Gordy founded Motown Records; Studio A inside the house was the recording site for many Motown hits of the 1960s. The museum preserves the original studio and displays artifacts, records, and exhibits documenting Motown’s history and artist roster. Guided tours provide access to the preserved Studio A and exhibits about the label’s impact on American music.
