Peralta Home

The Peralta Home, located at 561 Lafayette Avenue in San Leandro, California, is a historic brick house built in 1860, notable for being the first of its kind in Alameda County. Known also as the Alta Mira Club House and Casa Peralta, it is a California Historical Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Constructed in the Spanish Colonial style for Ignacio Peralta, a prominent early settler, the house reflects the rich history of the Peralta family, who were significant landowners in the area. The home features a unique architectural design with its main reception rooms on the second story, and has undergone various ownership changes, currently serving as the property of the Alta Mira Club since 1926.
