Victoria Baths

Victoria Baths, a Grade II* listed building in Manchester, England, opened in 1906 and was celebrated as a 'water palace'. It featured multiple swimming pools, a Turkish bath, and even the UK's first public whirlpool. After closing in 1993, it faced years of neglect until a restoration project began in 2007, spurred by winning a BBC competition. The baths have since hosted various events, including concerts and film shoots, and remain a significant cultural landmark, currently listed on the Heritage at Risk Register.
