1968–69 SFSU Third World Liberation Front strike

In 1968–1969 students at San Francisco State College (now San Francisco State University) mounted a prolonged strike led by the Third World Liberation Front demanding ethnic studies programs and greater minority representation. The strike lasted several months, involved large demonstrations and campus occupations, and ended with negotiations that led to the creation of the College of Ethnic Studies. The events are widely documented in university archives and histories of student activism in the United States.
