Geeting Farm

Geeting Farm is a historic home located in Keedysville, Maryland, notable for its two-story log dwelling and stone addition. Built by George Adam Geeting, a Prussian immigrant, in the 18th century, the farm played a significant role in the early history of the United Brethren in Christ denomination. Geeting was not only a farmer but also an educator and itinerant preacher, contributing to the establishment of the Mount Hebron Church, the first dedicated structure for the denomination. The farm, which includes various outbuildings, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, making it an important site for those interested in American religious history and early settlement life.
