Puck Building

Completed in 1886, the Puck Building at 295 Lafayette Street originally housed the editorial and printing operations of Puck, a late-19th-century political humor magazine, and takes its name from that publication. The large red-brick Romanesque Revival structure is notable for its arched windows and masonry detailing and became a prominent commercial and cultural landmark in Lower Manhattan. In later decades the building was adaptively reused for offices, event spaces, and media production while retaining its historic exterior.
