Toldbodgade 12

Toldbodgade 12 is a historic and protected building located in central Copenhagen, Denmark, currently housing the Masters & Contemporary Art (MACA) Museum. This museum is notable for being the first independent fine art museum to open in Copenhagen since 1958, showcasing works from prominent 20th and 21st-century artists. Originally built in 1807 for linen merchant Thøger Dyssel From, the building features distinctive architecture with four storeys and original window shutters. It has a rich history, having served various purposes, including a design studio for Lego and housing the Danish Board of Technology Foundation until 2017. The building was officially protected by the Danish Heritage Agency in 1959, making it a significant site for both art enthusiasts and history buffs visiting the city.
