La Carafe (historic downtown bar)

La Carafe is a historic, basement-level bar in downtown Houston that has operated as a drinking establishment since the 1930s. Housed in an older limestone building on Congress Street, the bar is set below street level and is known for its narrow, dimly lit, candlelit interior.
