San Antonio Missions - Texas's only UNESCO World Heritage Site

Mission San José is part of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, which was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. The UNESCO designation covers the group of Spanish frontier missions and is the only World Heritage Site located in the state of Texas. Mission San José is notable for its large church, historic granary, and restored defensive walls that reflect 18th-century mission complex planning.
