Mount Olivet Cemetery

Founded in 1856 as a rural cemetery, Mount Olivet Cemetery on Lebanon Pike is one of Nashville's major historic cemeteries and holds the graves of prominent Tennessee politicians, Civil War soldiers, and business leaders. The site remains an active burial ground and features monuments and landscape elements characteristic of 19th- and early 20th-century funerary design.
