Wallace-Baily Tavern

The Wallace-Baily Tavern is a historic site located in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, built around 1840. This 2+1⁄2-story stone building features a frame kitchen ell and a striking double stacked portico influenced by Greek Revival architecture. Once a bustling inn and tavern, it served as a crucial stop for 19th-century travelers on the National Road. Visitors can also explore the ruins of a wash house/summer kitchen on the property. The tavern was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
