Villa Mills

Villa Mills, once a prominent villa in Rome, was situated above the historic Palatine Hill and built over ancient Roman ruins. Originally part of the Orti Farnesiani gardens, it evolved through various ownerships, showcasing Renaissance frescoes and Gothic elements. In the 20th century, the villa was demolished to facilitate archaeological excavations, revealing significant remnants of the Domus Augustana and other imperial structures. Today, visitors can explore the nearby Palatine Museum and the remaining Loggetta Mattei, which preserves some of the villa's artistic heritage.
