Amory–Ticknor House

The Amory–Ticknor House, located at 9–10 Park Street and 22–22A Beacon Street in Boston, Massachusetts, is a historic building constructed in 1804 by businessman Thomas Coffin Amory. It has a rich history, having been home to notable figures such as scholar George Ticknor and even the Marquis de Lafayette during his visit to Boston in 1824. The house showcases Federal architecture, designed by architect Charles Bulfinch, and has undergone various modifications over the years, including a transformation into commercial spaces in 1885. Today, it houses a mix of businesses, including restaurants and shops, making it a vibrant part of the Beacon Hill neighborhood, situated near the Massachusetts State House and Boston Common.
