Pikul House

The Pikul House, located in Severodvinsk, Russia, is a historical wooden building notable for being the residence of the renowned Soviet writer Valentin Savvich Pikul during 1940-1941. Constructed in 1940 for workers of the newly established city of Molotovsk, the house exemplifies early 20th-century Soviet wooden architecture. After years of neglect, it was recognized as a monument of regional significance in 2018, thanks to local activism. In 2021, the house was leased for a nominal fee with the intention of transforming it into a museum and hotel, preserving its cultural heritage while providing a unique experience for visitors.
