Boston Common - oldest public park

Boston Common, established in 1634, is widely recognized as the oldest city park in the United States. Originally set aside as common grazing land and militia training grounds, it has been used for public gatherings, protests, and civic ceremonies for nearly four centuries. The Common includes the Frog Pond and is the traditional starting point of the Freedom Trail.
