Woman's Industrial Exchange

The Woman's Industrial Exchange is a historic building located in Baltimore, Maryland, originally constructed in 1815. It features a unique blend of architectural styles, including a large five-story addition from the late 19th century. Established as a non-profit organization in 1880, it aimed to provide women with opportunities to sell handmade goods and earn a living. The Exchange played a significant role in supporting local artisans and fostering community engagement through its shop, tea room, and educational programs. Although it ceased operations in 2020, the building remains a notable landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978, and continues to be a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
