French's Tavern

French's Tavern, also known as Swan's Creek Plantation, is a historic house and tavern located in Powhatan County, Virginia. Dating back to around 1730, this two-story building complex features five distinct sections, including the main block and various wings. Originally built as a manor for a large plantation, it served as an ordinary in the early 19th century. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
