Baltimore Block

Baltimore Block is a historic series of eight rowhouses located in the SoNo district of Atlanta, Georgia, built in 1885 by Jacob J. Rosenthal, a Baltimore native. These unique brick three-story rowhouses, reminiscent of Baltimore's architectural style, are notable for their unified facade and continuous cornice line. Although they fell into disrepair by the 1920s, the area experienced a revival in the 1930s and became a hub of counterculture in the 1960s. Significant renovations in the 1980s transformed the units into office spaces, making Baltimore Block an interesting site for tourists and researchers interested in urban history and architectural evolution.
