Jens T. Larsen House

The Jens T. Larsen House, located in Kimballton, Iowa, is a historic building that reflects the rich heritage of Danish immigrants in the area. Constructed in 1894, this unique 1½-story frame house showcases a T-plan design, wall dormers, and a small square tower, believed to be crafted by skilled Danish artisans Anders Jensen and his brother Thorvald. Jens Larsen, the original owner and a Danish immigrant who arrived in 1874, used this house as his retirement home until his death. The house remained in the family until 1962 and was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
