Hanover Bank Building

The Hanover Bank Building, an early skyscraper located at the intersection of Pine Street and Nassau Street in Lower Manhattan, was constructed between 1901 and 1903. Standing 385 feet tall with 22 floors, it showcased a richly decorated neoclassical style. The building was adjacent to the Banker's Trust Building and served as a prominent financial institution until it was acquired by Bankers Trust in 1929. Ultimately, it was demolished in 1931 to facilitate the expansion of the nearby 14 Wall Street, marking the end of its brief yet notable existence in New York City's architectural history.
