League of Catholic Women Building

The League of Catholic Women Building, also known as Casgrain Hall, is a historic site located in Midtown Detroit, Michigan. Constructed in the early 20th century, it was established by a group of Catholic women to support immigrants and later focused on aiding young women seeking employment. The building originally accommodated 250 women and featured various amenities including a cafeteria, chapel, and ballroom. Over the years, it evolved to provide housing for nursing students and low-income elderly residents. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, it represents a significant part of Detroit's social history and community service efforts.
