Blair House (Washington, Iowa)

The Blair House, built in 1881 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, is a historic structure in Washington, Iowa. Originally a private residence for financier Winfield Smouse, it has served various purposes, including as the town's City Hall from 1926 to 1972. The building features Victorian architecture with a distinctive mansard roof and an irregular plan. Notable additions include a gymnasium and a fire station.
