CBC Bank Building, Bega

The CBC Bank Building, constructed in 1865, is a heritage-listed site in Bega, New South Wales, recognized as the first bank and the first two-storey building in the town. This mid Victorian Colonial structure, built for the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, showcases significant architectural features and occupies a prominent position on a bluff overlooking the original main road into Bega. Now a residence, the building serves as a historical reminder of Bega's early commercial development and has been preserved through various conservation efforts, including its listing on the New South Wales State Heritage Register in 1999.
