Former Sands Hotel / The Venetian (Rat Pack era site)

The Sands Hotel's Copa Room, located at the site now occupied by The Venetian, was a principal performance venue for the Rat Pack and other mid-20th-century entertainers; Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and others performed there during the 1950s and 1960s. The Sands was demolished in 1996 and The Venetian Resort opened on the site in 1999, but the location remains a touchstone for fans of classic Las Vegas entertainment history.
