Joe Brown House and Farmstead

The Joe Brown House and Farmstead is a historic site located in rural White County, Arkansas, approximately one mile south of County Road 529. Built around 1890, this single-story dogtrot house features a distinctive corrugated metal roof and board-and-batten siding. Visitors can admire its unique architecture, including a shed-roof porch that shelters two entrances and a breezeway. The property also includes a well and remnants of a log smokehouse, making it one of the few surviving examples of 19th-century dogtrots in the area. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, the site offers a glimpse into the region's historical architecture, despite its reported deteriorated condition.
