Bunker Hill Monument

Bunker Hill Monument is a 221-foot granite obelisk on Breed's Hill that commemorates the June 17, 1775 Battle of Bunker Hill, one of the first major engagements of the American Revolutionary War. The monument was completed in 1843 and is part of the Boston National Historical Park. A visitor center and museum at the site interpret the battle and its historical context. The monument and surrounding parkland are open to the public and attract history visitors and school groups.
