Allow Me (Umbrella Man) by John Seward Johnson II

Allow Me is a life-size bronze sculpture of a man holding an umbrella, created by John Seward Johnson II and installed in Pioneer Courthouse Square in 1983. The statue has become a commonly photographed landmark and informal meeting point within the square. Multiple casts of this sculpture exist in other cities; the Portland casting is sited prominently in the city's central public plaza.
