Boyd Mill Place

Boyd Mill Place, also known as Davenport's Mill and Hearon's Mill, is a historic grist mill located in Weston, Georgia, built around 1870 by John Boyd. This site operated until 1963 and features a water supply sourced from a 400-foot earthen dam. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. Visitors can explore the mill and its surroundings, which include a New South Cottage-style house built for the miller around 1910, along with several outbuildings such as a pole barn, a shed, and a chicken house.
