Bentley Priory

Bentley Priory is a historic stately home located in Stanmore, Harrow, originally established as a medieval priory for Augustinian Canons. The current mansion, designed by Sir John Soane in the late 18th century, served as the final residence of Dowager Queen Adelaide and later became the headquarters for RAF Fighter Command during World War II. Today, it is being transformed into luxury apartments while part of the estate is preserved as a museum and memorial by the Bentley Priory Battle of Britain Trust, making it a significant site for both history enthusiasts and tourists.
