Space Needle and 1962 World's Fair legacy

The Space Needle was constructed for the 1962 Century 21 World's Fair and has since become an enduring symbol of Seattle's skyline. It rises to 605 feet and includes an observation deck and an iconic rotating restaurant platform. A major renovation completed in 2018 (the Century Project) added floor-to-ceiling glass, new viewing features, and a rotating glass floor called the Loupe to enhance public access and views.
