Originally situated in a grand three-story brick building featuring a distinctive mansard-roofed tower, the facility has evolved over the years and now operates from a modern structure with 100 beds, opened in 1990. The site, which was generously donated by local patent lawyer Thomas Dodge, is notable for its commitment to providing a nurturing environment with ample light and air for its residents.
