The University of Texas Main Building (The Tower)

Completed in 1937, the Main Building and its 307-foot tower are a central landmark of the University of Texas at Austin campus and house university administration. The Tower's observation floors and facade lighting are used for official campus commemorations and celebrations. In 1966 the Tower was the site of a documented sniper attack that is a major event in the building's history.
