Kimbell Art Museum Renzo Piano Pavilion

The Kimbell Art Museum expanded in 2013 with a pavilion designed by architect Renzo Piano to provide additional gallery space and controlled natural lighting consistent with the original Louis Kahn building. The Renzo Piano Pavilion houses rotating temporary exhibitions and contemporary works, complementing the Kimbell's permanent collection. The expansion was intended to respect the original site's scale and the museum's focus on light in gallery design.
