Ryman Auditorium (former Union Gospel Tabernacle)

Opened in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle and later renamed Ryman Auditorium, this Victorian-era venue was the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974. The Ryman is noted for its acoustics and intimate auditorium design and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2001. It remains an active concert venue and museum preserving its history as a central performance building in Nashville.
