Soldenfeldts Stiftelse is a historic building located in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark, overlooking the picturesque Sortedam Lake. Founded in the late 19th century by the Soldenfeldt brothers, this unique property was designed as a residence for elderly women in various professions. The architecture, crafted by Hermann Baagøe Storck, features a striking red brick facade inspired by Italian medieval and Renaissance styles, adorned with terracotta medallions symbolizing virtues such as temperance and charity. Today, the building houses 99 refurbished apartments, a banquet hall with beautiful murals, and various amenities including a library and exercise room, all set within a serene courtyard with lawns and a fountain, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers alike.
