Eaton–Prescott House

The Eaton–Prescott House, located at 284 Summer Avenue in Reading, Massachusetts, is a historic residence with origins dating back to before 1757. This Georgian-style house features elements from the Greek Revival period, particularly its door surround from the 1830s-1840s. The property has a rich history, having remained in the Eaton family since the late 17th century until the last Prescott descendant passed away in 1902. Architect Willard P. Adden purchased and renovated the house around 1907 for his family. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and local history.
