The Long Center for the Performing Arts - major downtown arts venue

The Long Center opened in 2008 as a multi-venue performing-arts center located on the former Palmer Auditorium site overlooking Lady Bird Lake. It serves as home to resident companies and presenters including the Austin Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Austin, and hosts touring concerts, theater productions, and community programming. The Long Center’s indoor halls and outdoor Hartman Concert Lawn make it a primary central-city venue for large and small performances.
