Richardson-Turner House

The Richardson-Turner House, located at 1469 Arkansas Highway 1 in Lexa, Arkansas, is a remarkable example of Queen Anne architecture, built in 1894 by Dr. Willis Moss Richardson. This historic 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame house features unique design elements such as asymmetric massing, decorative eaves brackets, and fish-scale shingles. Its elaborate porch, adorned with beaded spindlework balustrades and turned columns, adds to its charm. Although the original tower was removed in the 1930s, the house remains a significant architectural landmark and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, making it a noteworthy stop for tourists and researchers interested in historic architecture.
