Peace Fountain (Cathedral of St. John the Divine)

The Peace Fountain is a large sculptural fountain by artist Greg Wyatt installed at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and dedicated in 1985. The multi-figure bronze and stone work combines biblical and natural motifs and sits adjacent to the cathedral’s garden and façade as a contemporary outdoor artwork. It has been a visible and sometimes debated element of the cathedral’s exterior program of art and landscape.
